Northwest WillaKenzie Pinot Gift Package

Willakenzie’s new estate-focused blend, the 2016 Estate Pinot Noir, a lovely spicy nose of red licorice, dried rose petals, and potpourri over a core of bright red fruits—raspberry, strawberry, rhubarb, and red cherry with cinnamon stick accents. Light to medium-bodied, bright red fruits framed with oodles of savory/spicy notes in the mouth. It has firm, grainy tannins and wonderful juicy acidity, finishing long with spicy layers.

Our gourmet gift package filled with ‘local’ goodies from the Northwest, much like our nibble plate we serve at Wilfs, will pair perfectly with this pinot noir. This tasty collection starts with Olympia Provisions Finocchiona (fin-OHK-ee-own-ah) a traditional Italian salami with garlic, black pepper & fennel. This specialty meat pairs well with AJ’s Walla Walla sweet onion mustard with dill and Moon Cheese crunchy bites of golden delights. The Alaska Smokehouse naturally wild smoked salmon, Rose City Pepperheads pepper jelly, and Elki water sesame crackers rounds out our charcuterie plate. The finale is McTavish traditional, handmade from scratch shortbread, dipped in chocolate.
